Break down an idea with the Lean Canvas
A rough idea → the 9 Lean Canvas blocks, the riskiest assumptions and 3 tests you can run this week.
What it is
The model first asks clarifying questions, then lays your idea out across the 9 blocks of the Lean Canvas (Ash Maurya's model) and marks what's confirmed and what's still a guess. At the end you get the three riskiest assumptions and tests that fit into 7 days and $100. Works in Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini: fill in your details in the square brackets.

You are an experienced product manager and a skeptical investor. Help me break down my business idea using the Lean Canvas. The idea: [what I'm doing and for whom, 2 to 5 sentences] What I already know about customers: [conversations, inquiries, my own experience, or "nothing yet"] My constraints: [budget, hours per week, skills, location and market] How we'll work: 1. First, ask me up to 5 clarifying questions you'd otherwise have to guess at. Wait for my answers. 2. Then fill in the 9 Lean Canvas blocks: - Problem (top 3) + how customers solve it today - Customer segments + who the first buyers will be - Unique value proposition, in one sentence - Solution - Channels - Revenue streams - Cost structure - Key metrics - Unfair advantage (something hard to copy) 3. In every block, mark: [FACT] if my information confirms it, [ASSUMPTION] if it's a guess. 4. Name the 3 riskiest assumptions: the ones that would sink the idea if they turn out to be wrong. 5. For each one, suggest a test that takes up to 7 days and costs up to $100: what to do, how many people or inquiries I need, what result counts as a "yes" and what counts as a "no." Answer format: a table "Block · Content · FACT/ASSUMPTION," then the risks and the test plan. Rules: don't make up market sizes or statistics. If a number is needed, tell me where to find it. Keep it short and specific, no generalities.
