Proposal email with a price

Email · Emails and scripts Free Checked: October 2026

A proposal by email: the project in the client's words, what is and isn't included, timing, price and the next step.

What it is

A structure that leaves the client with nothing to ask twice: your understanding of the project, the result, what's included, what's not included, timing, price and payment terms, what you need from the client, and how long the proposal is valid. The "Not included" block heads off most disputes after the work starts. It helps to work out the price first with the "Price calculator" in Resources.

HOW TO REFINE THIS WITH AI
1. Paste your call notes and the email: "Compare the proposal with my notes. What did the client ask for that the proposal leaves out? What in the proposal is unnecessary? Where could a sentence be read two ways? Rewrite the 'My understanding of the project' block using the client's own words from the notes. Don't change the price or the timeline."
2. Ask: "Suggest wording for the 'Not included' block in my field: [field]."
