What it is

Codex is OpenAI's product for software development: a control center for several agents at once. It handles background tasks, reviews changes in isolated working copies, and supports reusable skills and automations. It's available in the ChatGPT desktop app alongside chat and Work. Codex is included in ChatGPT plans, including Free and Go; the cloud version is for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. It runs on GPT-6 models.
